The Jacksonville Symphony Guild and Collier Classic Homes announce the 2008 Designer Showhouse and Gardens to be hosted in Pablo Creek Reserve.
The home will be completed in time for the opening for the public which will run from April 19th 2008 through Mothers Day on May 11, 2008. The home will be priced in the $3 million dollar range.
What is special this year: The home will have gardens. Also, the home will be built specifically as a Showhouse and is not an existing home converted into a Showhouse.
Symphony Information: The work on this year’s Symphony Showhouse is 35 years in the making. In 1972 the Jacksonville Symphony Guild held their first Designer Showhouse in a beautiful historical home located in Avondale on the St. Johns River. This was not only a first for Jacksonville, but it was the first show house project in the state of Florida! Thirty-five years later the Showhouse is building on the momentum from years past and includes an entirely new stylistic element; gardens. Now the architecturally appointed home will expand on previous homes and will have intricate gardens surrounding the home.
For over 50 years the Guild of the Jacksonville Symphony Association (JSA) has worked to further an awareness of music and to create strong community support of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra through fundraising projects. The centerpiece of the Guild’s benefit fundraisers is the Symphony Showhouse. Proceeds from the showing of the home will go back to the Symphony Guild and help keep our orchestra for future years.
Symphony Contact: Laura Mathewson is the President Elect of the Symphony Guild. As of June 15th she will be the President of the Symphony Guild. (904) 285-9100.
Pablo Creek Reserve: The Showhouse in Pablo Creek Reserve will be one of approximately 270 homes, located just west of the Intracoastal Waterway and south of J. Turner Butler Boulevard. Pablo Creek Reserve offers homes starting at $1.4 million. The community works with six hand-picked custom builders to create exquisite homes in a range of architectural styles, from European Old World to Mediterranean to French Country. Buyers are invited to stop by the Pablo Creek Reserve sales office, located at 5050 San Pablo Road, just south of J. Turner Butler Boulevard.

Builder Information: Collier Classic Homes has begun construction on the English Country Home. The home is currently in the framing stage of construction.
When Collier Classic Homes was approached to participate as the builder of the 2008 Symphony Guild’s Showhouse and Gardens, Elwood Collier focused his attention on trying to uncover the next popular new trend for high end homes in Florida. After searching locally and in England and reviewing plans for Low Country, French and even Mississippi Plantation homes; he decided on English Country Style. Elwood Collier believes this style is the next big trend for luxury homes. Although Mediterranean style homes will always be a staple of the Florida building landscape, Collier thinks English Country will be a major contender for the future.
