Art Institute Teams with Showhouse
After their dazzling achievements last year, the Symphony Guild Designer Showhouse is delighted to have students from the interior design program at the Art Institute of Jacksonville as participants in the 2010 Showhouse for a repeat “performance”!
Brenda Luten, Showhouse Designer Selection Chairwoman, felt it was important for young designers and new talent to have an opportunity to be involved in the show house project. What better way for these students to learn valuable skills and gain experience in the design field, and what better way for Jacksonville to be exposed to the next generation of interior design talent. Also exciting is the prospect of having the work of students from the graphics art and fine art departments of the Art Institute incorporated in some of the Showhouse’s design spaces. Hopefully, this will encourage dialogue between the students, designers, and the public, as well as create a forum for artistic expression.
