Every Thursday evening during the Showhouse the participating designers will be your personal hosts as you tour the rooms. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! After touring the Showhouse, don’t forget to stop by the Residents’ Club in Coastal Oaks for complimentary wine tasting.

Designer Sale

Monday, May 10, 9:00 a.m. – Noon

If you saw that one-of-a-kind item in the Showhouse that you just can’t live without, be sure to attend the Designer Sale as it just might be your only opportunity to “strike gold”!

During the Showhouse viewing, the designers will provide an inventory list of items available for purchase in each room. Although you may take a chance your favorite item will be available the day of the Designer Sale, it’s advisable to make arrangements in advance by contacting the designer directly ahead of time. Then all you need to do is retrieve your item on the day of the Sale.

All sales are cash or check. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the designer, you are responsible for pickup and delivery.

Guest Speaker Series

Preservation of our Old Florida Heritage is the theme for this year’s Showhouse. Located at Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, it’s a lovely pristine location. All involved with this project are committed to managing this valuable resource for the benefit of current residents and future generations.

To this end, various speakers will address landscape solutions, green concept building choices, preservation of furnishings and interiors, lifestyle choices, decorative arts and preservation of family heirlooms and collectables.

Each Speaker event is complimentary with your Showhouse ticket. A complete schedule of speakers may be found within.

Preview Luncheon & 60th Anniversary Celebration

Come one, come all for a full day of enjoyment as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Jacksonville Symphony Guild at the Showhouse Preview Luncheon. Festivities will be held at the lovely new Residents’ Club in Coastal Oaks.

Preview Gala & 60th Anniversary Celebration

You will not want to miss the Showhouse Preview Gala celebrating the opening of the 2010 Designer Showhouse. Also, the Jacksonville Symphony Guild is commemorating its 60th anniversary and is making this year’s Preview Gala a very special event to honor The Guild, past Presidents and long-time members.

Enjoy the beautiful setting of the Residents’ Club in Coastal Oaks with preservation-themed décor by Wilson’s Limited, Inc. Dine on a delicious menu of culinary delights by Heirlooms. Mingle with the participating designers, sponsors and honored guests. Be one of the first to tour the magnificent Designer Showhouse.

Thirsty Thursday Wine Tasting

5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Residents’ Club in Coastal Oaks

Mark your calendars! Each Thursday evening (April 22, 29 & May 6), after touring the Showhouse and meeting the participating designers on hand, wine tastings will be held, compliments (with Showhouse ticket) of PRP Wines International. Neil Roberts, PRP representative, will be offering tasty selections from the company’s extensive inventory of fine wines. In addition, Guild members will host and serve hors d’ oeuvres prepared from the popular Guild cookbook, Sounds Delicious Volume II. Wine tastings will be held a short distance from the Showhouse at the Residents’ Club in Coastal Oaks.
