Music for Your Eyes
Looking for beautiful artwork? The perfect piece to add to your music inspired collection? Look no further . . .
Imagine a group of violins stripped to bare wood, then suddenly transformed into twelve beautiful works of art. What began as a fundraising event several years ago has become one of the most anticipated events of the Symphony guild, culminating with a drawing at The Guild’s year-end luncheon in June.
Area artists have donated their time and talent to the Symphony Guild’s Music for Your Eyes project. Their inspiration and insight have brought the violins to life.
Patrons may purchase unlimited number of drawing tickets to have one of these colorful works of art. The more you purchase, the better your chance of winning. Funds raised from the drawing will benefit The Guild’s Harmony Grants Program, which awards grants to music programs in local public schools. Opportunity drawing tickets are priced at $5 each; 3 for $10; 10 for $20; 50 for $50; and 125 for $100.
Participating artists include Louise Freshman Brown, John Bunker, Eileen Corse, Ellen Diamond, Lia Frederick, Reet London, Jack Matthews, Carole Mehrtens, Leigh Murphy, Christine Schmidt, Cable Spence and Allison Watson.
